My First Blog Post

Hello!
I am Kelsea.  I am going to school to become a special education teacher.  I was born in Long Beach California but raised in Texas.  My hobbies are singing in the praise band at church, sewing, gardening, and cooking.  Friends say that I am quiet at first but just you wait until you get to know me!
Technology can either make or break a class.  One, you must have a good and knowledgeable teacher technology or not.  Two, don't let your technology replace you as a teacher.  I have seen the over use of technology especially when taking college courses online.  Teachers shouldn't fully rely on technology to teach their students.  As some techniques don't work for all students, some technology doesn't work for all students.  Technology should be used to improve your lessons.
Having technology in the classroom is such a great thing. Technology has lead to so many great opportunities for special needs students as well as any other child with learning disabilities.  Special education has my heart if you haven't already noticed and this class will play an important roll in how I choose what kind of technology to use in my future classroom.

I hope this class will give me skills that I can use to improve me as a teacher and student.  So far just from week one I have learned some helpful skills for finding activities for multiple subjects in webquest. I have blogged before but I bet this part of the class will improve my blogging skills as well.
